In 1986, the Association produced the first newsletter entitled ”Gautreau of America”.A pine by wood sculptor Nadeau of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli is ceated.Regional Comittees begin in the Cap-St-Ignace, Montmagny, Montreal, Quebec, Saguenay, Lac saint-Jean, Ottava-Hull, Moncton, and Moncton.

In 1988, the first monument erected in memory of Benjamin Gaudreault by the group of 21 in town of La Baie, Saguenay.

In 1989, a label pin, flaf are created and a monument in memory of brothers Gilles and Jean was erected in Cap-St-Ignace.

The recognition award entitled “Fellowship and Valiance”, the first three recipients are Bishop Henry Goudreault OMI, Mr. Joseph Gaudreau (La Pocatière) and Lt. Col. Jean-Yves Godreau (Sainte-Foy).

In 1990 Quebec produces a new red and white wine.

In 1991 a commerative plaque is erected in Mistassini in memory of François Gaudreault.

In 1992, we launch the first book of our Association “Aux Sources d’une Histore, The American Gautreau,” by Serge Goudreau, P. Jacques Gaudreau and Pauline Gaudreau Proulx. The same year, President Gilles Gaudreau is featured on a TV program called “52 à la une” in France.

In 1993, a first trip to France by forty Gautreau’s to research their history. A plaque commemorating ancestors Gilles and Jean Gautreau is erected over the baptismal font of La Flotte-en-Ré.

In 1994, the foundation of an association of “Gautreau of France” are thrown at Talmont St-Hilaire, Vendée.

In 1995, a convoy of forty Gautreau’s participate at the annual meeting of the Association in New Leskeard (Ontario) along with 310 other family members from Canada and France.

In 1996-1997, two indexes of marriages of Gautreau men and women are published by the Association. They are the work of Joseph Gaudreau and his wife Francoise Normand Gaudreau from La Pocatière

In 1998, another monument will be erected on the land of the ancestor Gilles, at l’Anse at Gilles, Cape St. Ignace.

The Gautreau Association has recruited more than 1,500members since its foundation in 1985. On July 22, 1998, Denis Gaudreault created the Association website.
